Online doctor consultation

Save time and stay safe with certified medical help via video or audio. This service is ideal for explaining lab results, renewing E-prescriptions, and opening sick leave.

Physical exams and emergencies still require in-person visits.

Online doctor consultation: a modern solution for your health

In today’s dynamic environment, time is our most valuable resource. Traditional polyclinic visits—involving travel, long queues, and exposure to other patients—are often inefficient, especially when you need immediate action: a prescription renewal, lab result explanation, or an opening of a sick leave certificate. Online doctor consultation (telemedicine) is a modern, safe, and fast way to receive help from a certified physician without leaving your home or office.

What is an online doctor consultation?

It is a full-fledged medical appointment conducted via secure video or audio channels. During the session, a certified doctor interviews the patient (takes medical history), evaluates symptoms, and provides professional recommendations.

Unlike simple “internet advice,” this is an official medical service. The doctor records the visit in your medical file, uses the E-health system, and assumes professional responsibility for the guidance provided.

Key benefits for busy individuals

  • Time Efficiency – a physical visit can take 2–3 hours including commute. An online consultation usually lasts 15–30 minutes and can happen during your lunch break or from your car.
  • Immediate Accessibility – while in-person appointments often have weeks-long waiting lists, online consultations are frequently available on the same or next day.
  • Safety – avoid crowded waiting rooms during virus seasons, protecting yourself and your family from cross-infection.
  • Access to specialists – get a consultation from top-tier specialists regardless of your physical location, even if you are traveling or living in a remote region.

When to choose an online doctor consultation?

Many primary care issues can be successfully resolved remotely:

  • Interpretation of lab results – if you’ve received blood tests or MRI results but don’t understand the technical terms, a doctor can explain every deviation and provide a follow-up plan.
  • Prescription renewals (E-prescriptions) – for chronic patients or those on long-term therapy, doctors can issue E-prescriptions remotely after reviewing your E-health history.
  • Sick Leave Certificates: If you have a cold, virus, or back pain, a doctor can evaluate your condition and open an official sick leave (A-lap) in the E-health system.
  • Second Opinion: A fast way to get an independent expert’s view on an existing diagnosis or treatment plan.

Online doctor consultation process: step-by-step

Booking & ID – choose a time on the website or call us. Identification is performed via Smart-ID or internet banking to ensure data security.

Payment: the service is paid online via bank card. Most insurance policies cover telemedicine—simply submit the receipt to your provider.

Preparation – send us any previous findings or lab results before the call and prepare your list of questions.

The call – at the scheduled time, join a secure video room via your browser. No complex software installation is required.

Post consultation – you will receive a summary, E-prescriptions, or referrals for further tests via email or the patient portal.

Limitations: What cannot be done online?

Telemedicine is powerful, but it cannot replace physical intervention in the following cases:

    • Physical palpation or auscultation (listening to lungs/heart).
    • Procedures such as stitches, injections, or applying casts.
    • Emergency situations – in case of heavy bleeding, loss of consciousness, or signs of a heart attack, call 112/113 immediately.
    • Prescribing controlled substances (narcotics/psychotropic drugs) to unknown patients without a verified medical history.

Note: If the doctor determines during the call that a physical exam is necessary, you will be referred to an in-person visit with a clear action plan already in place.
